Therapeutic FasciaBlaster Massage
What is the FasciaBlaster?
The FasciaBlaster is a tool (actually there are 2 tools of different sizes) that releases restrictions in the fascia and smooths out the distorted tissues to help increase range of motion, reduce pain, improve muscle and tissue function and lessen the appearance of cellulite. This tool and it’s creator, Ashley Black, were recently on the Today’s Show, check out the video clip here.
Wait a minute… what is Fascia?
Simply put, fascia is the body’s connective tissue. It is a head to toe, all-encompassing and interwoven system of fibrous connective tissue found throughout the body. It provides a framework that helps support and protect individual muscle groups, organs, and the entire body as a unit. So much pain, tightness, and discomfort is caused by distorted fascia. Studies show that fascia tension in one area can cause issues in adjacent structures. When fascia is tight, it can also constrict nerves causing numbness and/or stabbing pain. Even those pesky dents and dimples, that we all call “cellulite” are due to unhealthy fascia. Cellulite is caused by distortions in the body’s fascia! Adhesions in the tissue can pull the skin inward and create those dents. Therapeutic FasciaBlaster Massage
This type of session is perfect if you experience chronic pain from an old injury, migraines, scar tissue from surgery, limited range of motion, OR if you have “problem areas” with cellulite OR are suffering from the effects of poor circulation. The FasciaBlaster tools, designed by Ashley Black, is used to release adhesions and restrictions in the fascia. This treatment has been called a game changer — even if you have tried everything else, because the FasciaBlaster is used to break down the connective tissue that causes unsightly cellulite. This tool combined with slow, deep techniques of therapeutic massage improves the quality of fascia, increases range of motion and reduces pain and cellulite. I also utilize hot packs before treatment and cold packs or stones after treatment to help prepare the body and optimize results. Each session is tailored to the specific needs of the person receiving the treatment.
I also offer the Therapeutic FasciaBlaster Massage with Cupping Therapy, it is the perfect combination of therapies for restricted muscles and fascia that cause chronic pain and/or cellulite. Contact me today to set up an appointment.
